Group Europe-Management
Buyout
|
|
(Strongsville, OH – October 29, 2007)
The IRIUM™ Group Europe, co-developer of
IRIUM™ Business System Software for the
Equipment Industry, announced the completion
of its management buyout operation which
provides significant funding for future
development of IRIUM™. Although Edgerton
Corporation remains independent from this buyout, its customers in the
Americas will directly benefit from the
additional resources invested in IRIUM™.
The
European
management buyout
operation was organized by Pierrick
Guivarc’h, a new director and Didier Gillet
and Frédéric Bon,
existing company mangers. Two capital
investment firms, Occam Capital and Friedl
Investissement, joined as equity partners
and
will be supported by Ernst and Young and
KPMG Finance to fund the growth of the IRIUM™
application.
The
investment team
plans to strengthen and grow its existing
operations such as the continued enhancement
of IRIUM™, training resources and
support services, software maintenance,
specific customer developments, hardware
system and network infrastructure upgrades.
The funds will also be used for the
exploration and incorporation of new
technologies into IRIUM™ aimed at assisting
our
customers’ growth. These funds will help to
continue IRIUM™’s placement as the number
one worldwide ERP provider to the
equipment distribution industry.
“The
arrival of our new directors brings a
determining added value to realize
our ambitions and satisfy our French and
International
customers,” says Pierrick Guivarc’h. Bob
Walters, President of Edgerton Corporation
in the Americas, agrees with Guivarc’h that
the
assistance of these two capital investors
will play an essential role in helping IRIUM™
continue its future development
initiatives.
Today, IRIUM™ covers the three major
geographical regions of Europe, South East
Asia and the Americas, with research,
development and support centers in La
Rochelle and Bordeaux, France, Sydney,
Australia, Cleveland, Ohio, Tampa, Florida,
Mariposa, California and Phoenix, Arizona.
Jed Cavadas,
Chief Operating Officer of Edgerton
Corporation, applauds the new venture which
he comments, “will serve to further
strengthen the global reach and add
significantly to the IRIUM™ software
development resources.”
