Charlotte, NC-February 6, 2007 – Carolina Handling, LLC, distributor of material handling equipment,
completed the implementation of IRIUM™, a complete business system, January 1, 2007. Carolina Handling
partnered with business system provider, Edgerton Corporation, to convert their legacy business system, MTA,
to the Windows based software package, IRIUM™. IRIUM™’s new technology allows Carolina Handling to
better exchange information with customers, suppliers and associates.

Edgerton began the implementation of IRIUM™ by researching and learning the daily operations of Carolina
Handling. After initial installation, Edgerton then setup IRIUM™ to meet each of Carolina Handling’s
departmental specific needs. Next, Carolina Handling’s key system users were trained; followed by a general
system review and testing. Finally, after training end users and the pre-live evaluation, IRIUM™ was released at
Carolina Handling. Edgerton will continue to support and train Carolina Handling throughout their long partnership.
